Now that Mackenzie is over a year old, she's decided to switch gears on what entertains her. She has tons of toys to entertain her when Josh and I aren't in the living room with her, but when we are in the room with her all she wants to do is sit in our lap and have us read books to her. She has taken to gathering some books and bringing them to us, then climbing in our lap for us to read to her.
This does not mean we get through an entire book with her; sometimes she decides she wants to hear a few pages and then switch books. Regardless, it's pretty humorous to watch. We took a video of it the other day so hopefully we can post it soon (or take another one), but I just thought I'd share that with you.
One more thing of note is that she definitely knows when a book is upside-down and will fix it before reading. So, if we aren't around and she wants to read to herself (which she does a lot), she'll right the book before progressing. So funny!
