FAQs for Lindsay

09/30/09 | by Lindsay [mail] | Categories: Announcements [A]

So, I've been getting a lot of the same questions lately that I thought I would put into one general FAQ page so everyone could benefit. If there are questions you think should be added, please let me know!

- Q: When are you going to post pictures from your shower?
- A: When I get enough from the people who took pictures. If you took pictures, please send them to me!

- Q: When are you going to post your seven months picture?
- A: This is all my fault. I took the picture a while ago and haven't posted it. I'll try to do so this weekend at the latest.

- Q: How much weight have you gained?
- A: At this point I've gained about 15-16 pounds, which puts me a little behind on the weight gain but it's all down hill from here I'm sure. :)

- Q: How big is Mackenzie?
- A: Good question. We won't be having any more ultrasounds so your guess is as good as mine. I do know that I was a small baby and Josh was about average so I don't expect she'll be terribly big.

- Q: Is Mackenzie moving around a lot? What makes her move more?
- A: She moves a ton! She seems to like the late morning and then at 9:00 p.m. she usually goes crazy. She seems to move a lot more when I play Beethoven for her (as opposed to other classical choices), when I'm lying down, and when Josh reads to her.

- Q: How are you feeling?
- A: I feel great. I have yet to get sick, I don't have any weird cravings, and my feet are still the same size.

- Q: Are you exercising?
- A: I do yoga at least once a week (though I really try to go twice), I walk the dog with Josh or ride my bike along side them, and Josh and I occasionally go on a long bike ride. This weekend we went on a 2-hour ride that was splendid so we'll most likely be repeating that more often.

- Q: How long are you going to work?
- A: I am going to work up until I deliver, though my boss plans to have me work from home the week or two before I'm due. After that, I'll have six weeks off for short-term leave and then take an additional week of vacation in the new year. If I deliver when I'm due then I won't go back to work until January 15th or so.

- Q: What else do you need to do/prepare before Mack arrives?
- A: At this point nothing. We have everything we need and her room is ready for her. All we need to do is install the car seat and pack bags for the hospital.

I hope you all feel more informed now! Let me know if you think there are any glaring omissions!
